Fine. SIGNED "Paul W. Tibbets" beneath a black and white book stock photograph of the inside of the top secret compound of the 509th Composite Group. 5" x 8". General Paul W. Tibbets (1915-2007) was the pilot of the Enola Gay. Named for his mother, this plane carried and dropped the first atomic bomb in history. The target was Hiroshima, and the bomb, code named "Little Boy" was delivered on August 6, 1945 and was the catalyst for ending the war. Tibbets wrote two books about the operation.
