In 281 pages with map endpapers, this is the First American Edition (no date in book, but research places it at 1950). Octavo. Publisher's cream-colored cloth over boards, decorated with Chinese symbols to front & English title to spine, in green. condition is Near Fine: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages off-white with modest tanning to edges. The price-clipped DJ is just Good, downgraded due to chipping & slight paper loss along entire top edge of front, deepening to 3/4" loss at head of spine. One large chip out of same edge on rear & another chip to mid spine.
