Pseudonym of Betty Cavanna, who wrote the first 11 Connie Blair titles before her friend, Anne Warner Miller, completed the series with #12, 'The Mystery of the Ruby Queens.' First published in 1956, before this 1958 re-issue. The list of titles on the front flap ends at this one, #11, but the list on reverse of the half-title includes #12', begging the question for those who think that their copy of this edition is the first: how, in 1956, did the publishers know that a book not yet written and not to be published until two years later would be called 'The Mystery of the Ruby Queens', especially considering the fact that it was written by someone else entirely?
