About This Item

New York: Simon & Schuster, 1936. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Richard Taylor. Very Good, in Very Good Jacket. First Edition and First Printing. New York: Simon and Schuster, 1936. 'Sir Galahad and other Rimes - Pass-Keys to the Classics', by Christopher Ward. Illustrations throughout by Richard Taylor. Octavo, illustrated jacket, beige cloth boards with red imprinting on spine and front cover, 233 pp (x + 223). See scans. Very Good book, its only notable flaw being some bleed through staining at the pastedown endpapers (scan), in a Very Good, price-clipped jacket with chip at upper left, front cover and nominal touch-wear elsewhere. A somewhat different spin on Richard Armour's spoofs of the classics, notable parodist Christopher Taylor here presents his own tongue-in-cheek looks at them, mostly in verse forms. A touch of Armour, a smaller touch of Ogden Nash. Scarce. First Edition, Firs Printing, in jacket. Ships in a stout, new box, of course - not a bag. L93
