"With Chambers I was faced with the problem of bringing together the unusually wide range of his interests, covering not only architectural design, but landscape gardeing, architectural writing and theory, the foundation of the Royal Academy, the Swedish East India Company, and the architectural profession. I therefore decided to present a series of self-contained articles, prefaced by a synposis of his life's events." Additional text was provided by J. Mordaunt Crook and Eileen Harris. Nice!
