Alfred A. Knopf, New York., 1972. First American Edition (Stated).. Hardcover.. Fine/VG. 8 9/16 H x 6 13/16 W x 1 3/16.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Very Gently Read. Book Interior FINE/ Boards Fine/ Dust Jacket Very Good. Rag edge pages. Boards and spine are orange cloth, lettering silver, six embossed silver geese on front. Dust jacket is white/orange, lettering white/yellow, black/white photo front and back. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has a bit of age darkening on edges and folds of flaps, spine is sunned but perfectly legible, has a very thin line of light blue paint vertically on 1/3 of the back dj, has minor edge wear, has some creases on the flap fold lines, has two rips at top of dj spine largest is 5/8 inch. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, two slightly leaning corners, no spine creases, a few small creases at top and bottom free edge of spine, almost no edge wear. Page top edge is gold, side and bottom are white. Inner end papers are white. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, there are tiny pencil numbers in the margin at some paragraphs for some reason. Majestic in repose, formidable in anger, faithful in mating - out of the blue SIX CAME FLYING and so begins a long friendship between a family of wild swans and the family of Marquis MacSwiney of Mashanaglass. Black/white photo plates. Sketches. Notes. Bibliography.

I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
