New York, NY: Hurd and Houghton, 1866. Book. VG Minus. Cloth. 1st Edition. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Burgundy cloth with embossed rules front and back, with gilt lettering /rules to the spine. 369 pp. with 6 pp. of ads to the back.This copy is VG minus. Exterior has moderate / significant rubbing front and back, gilt is a bit faded but quite legible. Tips, spine ends , and edges modestly/moderayely worn. Yellow EPs. Neat PO signature onFEP and FFEP dated October 6, 1866. Otherwise unmarked, securely bound with moderate toning and some faded damp stains for the last 50 pages or so at the upper corners. .
