About This Item

New York: Garden City Publishing. Hardcover. Good. A no nonsense account of a young man's experiences as a surveyor for roads and railways in Kedah and Kelantan between 1913 and 1918. Wells was an entertaining and observant writer mixing stories of recipes for gin slings with lots of information on the flora and fauna, much of which he presumably had to clear out of his way to get his job done. Good Hardback 261 pages with a black and white plate, a map and a bibliography. Weight: 0.7 kg Post free within Malaysia The cover has a small spot and a drink stain on the front. There is a decorative personal name plate on a front end paper. The binding is tight, the text clear and there is mild tanning of the pages.
