New York: Ray Long & Richard R. Smith, Inc., 1932. O'Flaherty (1896-1984) was a major figure in modern Irish literature, a native Irish-speaker who wrote almost exclusively in English. Probably his most famous work was his third, "The Informer" which was made into one of the great films of the XXth Century. This ius a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First American Edition (stated "Copyright, October, 1932"). Variant bright green cloth binding with titling in red on the spine and front cover. Clean text; 274 pages. Quite clear and bright.Tiny bit of fade to top of spine; hints of rub to margins. The dustjacket is unclipped but suffers from a large chip to the top of the spine which also affects the other panels.The spine is darkened and also has some chipping at the bottom. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/Very Good (Minus). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
