About This Item
London, Chapman and Hall, 1850. Hardback, 7.5 x 5 inches. In dark green cloth, decorative blind embossed boards, with gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Cloth faded, spine and edges darkened, corners bumped and slightly nicked. Small nicks to ends of spine with small chip to top end. Endpapers clean, bookseller label “Houghton & Co. Poultry, Fancy Stationary” to front and rear. Small fingerprint to title page and one minor spot to frontis plate. Some pages roughly cut along top edges, else pages all very clean and tight throughout. A very good clean and tight copy. 303pp. Illustrated with a single B&W frontis plate.
