About This Item
New York: Boni and Liveright, 1919. First edition. Bands of toning to endsheets from binder's glue; pencilled ownership inscription dated 1921, otherwise a fine, fresh copy in a slightly soiled dust jacket with just a bit of light edge wear and some short tears.. Small 8vo, 150pp; cloth-backed printed boards. Posthumously published collection of essays gathered from periodicals and not previously published in book form. There was no equivalent English edition. Includes a short foreword by Albert Mordell, who, though uncredited, presumably acted as editor of this volume. Published as a part of the publisher's short-lived "Penguin" series; scarce in jacket.
