(1st) Slightly smaller, thicker book, dark green cloth with embossed leaves and flower design on front, gilt lettering and ornate gilt design very bright on spine, 479 lightly browned pages, 10-page index and brief biographical note. Essays in Portraits section: Arthur Vandenberg, Robert Frost, Richard Nixon, Eugene Black, Felix Frankfurter, and more. Other sections include Politics, Education, the Press, Johnson, Eisenhower, Kennedy and more. DJ heavy paper, dark blue-green, blue illustration of leaves and fruit at front left and spine, blue-tinted photo of Reston with dark yellow border on back. DJ has tiny tears and very slight wear to most edges and tips. Near Good DJ/Very Fine book.
