Map illustrated endpapers, front end paper showing a general map of the Caribbean islands, rear end paper showing a map of the Lesser Antilles Islands. Blue coloured boards with silver coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with white and orange coloured title to the front panel and backstrip. Captain Lincoln P. Slade oversaw his undisciplined crew on a barely seaworthy freighter named "Tinkerbelle". The captain and crew were byword of debauchery, drunkenness and lust throughout the Caribbean. Then in December 1939 they come across the results of the disguised German marauder "Tamerande", whose task was to create havoc among the sea lanes in the Caribbean, under Hitler's orders. Despite the unworthiness of his vessel, Slade harried the German merchantman relentlessly to a explosive confrontation ... softening and fading to the backstrip edges with some rubs and marked to the book panels. Light age toning of the textblock edges with faint marks. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners with rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. Handling marks and sunning to the backstrip.
