A very good copy. A very scarce book - the first edition of the first novel of Anthony Hope (Hawkins) and paid for by Hope. He writes of it in his autobiography "I had already published one novel - on commission, at my own expense; it cost me fifty pounds, and the royalties amounted to thirteen" Few copies seem to have survived and Copac only list two British libraires with copies..
