About This Item
New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1974. First American Edition. 8vo. 21cm x 14cm. Publisher's red cloth. Dustjacket. Titled in black to spine, a clean, bright copy with very slight wear to the spine ends in a sharp and vibrant pictorial dustjacket with some light wear to extremities and a small closed tear to the upper edge of the rear panel. A very good, rather striking copy.185pp. Internally clean. A signature piece of Edmund Cooper sci-fi, in which the grit and obstinance of a somewhat primitive future human seems likely to prevail against a technologically advanced but decadent alien race.
