First edition/First impression. Size is quarto (4vo), 12"/30.5cm h. Quarterbound in publisher's dark blue paper over boards/black paper spine, gilt lettering to latter. Matte b&w pictorial dj. Plain cream endpapers. 121 numbered pp, [122] colophon; pp 2-3 and 4-5 are foldout photos. Three chaps of intro text, followed by photos; then "Boat descriptions", Photographers' bios, and bibliography. B&w photos throughout. Condition notes: a very good copy of a handsome edition: light wear/rubbing to unclipped dj. Very slight cock to the spine; boards/edges/binding excellent/sound. Interior shows author signature to title page, and former owner return address label to head ffep - the late Robert D. ("Bud") Foulke - Joseph Conrad scholar, and travel writer - from whose library this copy comes. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).

Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
