Good. <p>Robert Williams Buchanan [1841- 1901] was a Scottish poet, novelist and dramatist. After a period of struggle and disappointment, his first acknowledged book of poetry "Undertones" was published in 1863, although he appears to have disowned some earlier volumes later in life. His "Complete Poetical Works" was published in two volumes in 1901. In 1876 "The Shadow of the Sword", the first and one of the best of a long series of novels, was published. Buchanan was also the author of many successful plays, including "Lady Clare" [1883], Sophia [1886] and "The Charlatan" [1894].
