About This Item

London: Collins, 1947. Bound in the publishers black cloth with contrasting gilt title lettering to spine. This is the third impression of the first edition published in March 1947. The first and very elusive impression was published in December 1943. All pages are present and correct with no inscriptions. Book sits solid and square. A difficult book to find in a very good dustwrapper such as this which has been neatly priceclipped. Light signs of handling otherwise most presentable. Dustwrapper now protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photographs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request. A very nice copy indeed of a novel by a writer that has been largely overlooked over the years yet whose writing remains a great part of the classic suspense genre.. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good.
