York & London: John Sampson (York), Simpkin Martshall & Co Ltd (London), 1906. Hardback. [1 - 7], 8 - 111pp. Red cloth covers with gilt to upper board and to spine. Patterned endpapers. No jacket. Hunting and sporting aphorisms from the works of R. S. Surtees. Book in fair condition. Wear and slight loss to extremities of spine. Boards generally rubbed and soiled and with some marking/damp staining. Previous owner's signature to front pastedown and ghost of same to front fly. Occasional cracking to gutter but binding holding firm. A few light pencil marks to margins. A very serviceable copy.
