Book has light soiling to top corner of boards plus light edge wear and foxing to edges. . Bottom of spine bumped. Interior is clean. Previous owners gift inscription on front end sheet. Jacket has light chipping around edges with 1/4 x 1/4 inch piece missing from top of jacket. Light soiling and toning to jacket. First British edition with stickered 3/6 price on dust jacket flap. From wikipedia: The Snow Goose: A Story of Dunkirk is a novella by the American author Paul Gallico. It was first published in 1940 as a short story in The Saturday Evening Post, after which he expanded it to create a short novella which was published on 7 April 1941. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 64 pp .
Synopsis
Paul Gallico was born in New York in 1892. He became a minor celebrity as a sports writer and then began writing short stories for magazines. Gallico went on to write many more short stories and novels, including The Poseidon Adventure in 1969. He died in 1976.
