Loughborough: Ladybird Books Ltd, 1983. 51 pp. The great Hans Christian Andersen classic retold for easy reading by Joan Collins. Wonderful watercolour and pen illustrations. Hardcover has some wee divots in cover, a small bump to top back corner. No former owner's name. FFEP has a small fold to upper corner. A few finger crinkles to text but it is quite clean, secure, and unmarked.. Hard Cover. Very Good. Illus. by Kathie Layfield. 7 x 5.
Synopsis
P. J. LYNCH was born in Belfast in 1962, the youngest of five children. He studied illustration at Brighton College of Art (where one of his tutors was Raymond Briggs). He has won numerous prizes, including the Mother Goose Award and the Kate Greenaway Award. He now lives in Dublin.
