About This Item

New York: Coward-McCann, Inc, 1938. First US Edition/19th Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. A lovely edition of the classic lovingly translated and illustrated by the author of Millions of Cats. Perhaps circa 1962 as per short gift inscription to ffep. Book in nice shape with pictorial boards and only light wear at corners/spine ends with small split at top of spine. Jacket is price-clipped with 2 inch tear to top of rear panel and associated crease, a couple shorter tears to top of front panel, a few chips each to spine ends and general edgewear/scuffing. Light fading to spine and adjacent portion of front panel.
