About This Item
Martin Secker & Warburg Ltd, 1970. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st printing 1970 hardback. In very good condition with very good unclipped dust jacket free from nicks and tears. Owners name to inside front paste down otherwise clean, though slightly musty which should clear with time. 141pp 20cm x 13cm approx. Snow White lies in her glass coffin, paralyzed by a poisoned apple, communicating with her attendant dwarves -- Adonis, Buttons, Cato, Discipulus, Eglantine, and Feste -- by blinking her eyes (once for yes, twice for no). She is part of a traveling freak show managed by Doc (who drives a black Mercedes). "[A] spooky little novel...It reads as if Kafka, Beckett, and Ingmar Bergman collaborated on it." ("Life" August 1970)
