Minneapolis: University of Minnesota Press, 1964. Cloth. Fine/Poor. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Jaques, Francis L.. (4th ptg.) Very large book, lavender cloth, purple illustration of snowshoes pushed down into snow at bottom front right, blue illustration inside covers and adjacent end papers of dog sled, 110 heavy lightly browned pages, beautiful pen and ink drawings throughout. Signed in blue ink "Glenn C. Palmer" on dedication page--noted environmentalist and family friend of Sigurd Olson, writer on wilderness. DJ has beautiful illustration in shades of purple, blue and white of snowshoe hikers in woods on front and spine, praise for two Jaques books on back. DJ front flap neatly severed and placed inside cover. DJ has some tears and small chips to top edges. Poor DJ/Fine book.
