London: Saunders and Otley, 1840. First edition thus. Hardcover. Good. 5 x 8 in. Vol 1 - lxxix264 pgs. Vol 2 - 399 pgs, plus adverts. Red embossed cloth boards with gilt lettering on spines. Condition is GOOD ; corners, ends of spine and edges worn and rubbed, covers lightly discolored, spines darkened. Vol 2 the front cover is detached and spine cracked in places, with open tear at top, but binding is solid. Text clean. Vol 2 has brown square on front pastedown from missing bookplate. Travel. RGR.
