Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for remainder mark on textblock bottom and former owner's address label on front pastedown. Book Condition: Fine. DJ: Fine. Black boards with black cloth overlay on spine with bright gold lettering on spine. 214 pp. The author was the assistant military attache in Laos when he was shot down in a C-47 transport plane on 3/23/1961 becoming the first American POW in Southeast Asia. The only survivor, he was held for 17 months before being released. A story of strength of character and sheer will to survive. A clean pristine copy.
