The text is illustrated with black and white photographs and black-and-white line illustrations. On the front cover there is an illustration of a tree on which a colour photograph has been superimposed against a green background with white writing on the front panel and spine. The book is rubbed and faded, particularly the spine. Rubbing to the book corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine and the spine has creases running the full length of it.
