New York: Harper & Brothers, 1958. Short 'stories', almost poems, developed by Krauss after hearing children's stories & comments; illustrated by Sendak in a linear fashion, with many vignettes from each story in sequence. Fun for adults and children. Later printing, but before 1960. Hardcover, variant publisher's 'HarperCrest' reinforced binding in full orange cloth, red titling, black illustration. Light general wear to book, spine ends bumped; hint of foxing to endsheets; top board edges lightly faded; jacket a bit edgeworn with minor chipping, scuffs to rear panel, spine tanned, price & lower inch or so of front flap clipped. Text clean; 43 pages, line illustrations.. Later Printing. Cloth. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Maurice Sendak. 7" by 10".
