New York: Random House, 1936. First edition, number 550 of 1250 copies printed, signed by the author. A novel without words, expressed exclusively with Art Deco woodcuts - essentially an early graphic novel, Metallic copper hardcover with faux vellum spine printed in red, no slipcase. The covers have some light shelf scuffing to the metallic surface, spine age-darkened but legible, good hinges, firm text block, unevenly age-toned endpapers, pages clean, no names or other markings.. Signed by the Author. First, Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
