1906. Oxford: Basil Blackwell, 1906. 8vo., original wrappers. Wrappers darkened, chipped and creased, lower wrapper skilfully reattached, heavy strip of browning to first and last leaf, otherwise a good copy. First edition, inscribed by Baring to his mother "Mother. September 5th 1908". Dedicated by Baring to Hilaire Belloc, some of these poems had appeared in parts in The Westminster Gazette before being printed in this format. It includes, among others, the poems Affinity, Blossom, and many other Songs and Ballads. "I have loved once, and forever, and in eternity. Such love as this can never be again."
