About This Item

150 pages with 17 plates. Quarto (10 1/4" x 7 1/2") From the library of A Richard Diebold, Jr. University of California Publications in American Archaeology and Ethnology, Volume 17, number 1. First edition.

Diebold, himself, is a linguistic anthropologist, with a focus on Indo-European Studies. He received his Ph.D. at Yale University, where he wrote his dissertation on bilingualism and biculturalism in a small Indian community in Southern Mexico. He taught at Harvard and then Stanford in the 1960s and early 1970s. In 1974, he came to The University of Arizona because of their top anthropology department and developing linguistics program. He retired in 1991.

Condition:

Diebold's stamp on title, lacks spine, wrapper edges worn with tears, previous owner's stamp on front, tape at spine heal. Internally very good, else good. SOLD 2016 Aztecs
