"During Dr. Martin's visit to South America in 1921, he interviewed the Presidents of the Republics of Panama, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay and brazil in regard to establishing in Panama a memorial to General William C. Gorgas in the form of an Institute for Tropical and Preventive Medicine." This book is filled with experiences from these travels, nicely illustrated. Handwritten on ffep is "Dr. Davidson with compliments of the author." Book has edgewear and a few exterior marks; moisture mark along top 1/4 to 1/2" of pages..
