Jacket Good with moderate soiling, a short ragged tear at top of front panel and some chipping at ends of backstrip. INSCRIBED on half-title by Murray ("For Yvette because big mamas really come in all sizes Albert Murray"). Nonfiction book about white Soouthern writers and the American South. Yvette Le Roy, the inscribee, was a New York librarian who had owned Liberty House, a bookshop in Harlem between 1969 and 1979, which offered a place during that decade for a lot of African American authors, probably including Albert Murray, to promote their books.
