New York: Funk & Wagnalls, 1978. First Edition. First printing Fine in tan linen covered boards with dark blue text stamping on the spine. A quarto measuring 11 by 8 1/2 inches. In a very good+ unclipped dust jacket with a 3/4 inch closed tear at the upper fore corner of the front panel and minor rubbing and wear to the ends of the spine area. Laid-in at the front of the book is a copy of a three page essay about the author by Robert R. Preato. The last book on weather published by Eric Sloane. 79 numbered pages of text containing numerous sketches and drawings followed by eleven full color plates of some of his weather related paintings. A clean, neat and tight copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind.
