Methuen & Co. Ltd, 1928. Hardcover. Good. 1928. First Edition. 256 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Black and white photographic plates throughout and similar frontispiece. Maps across front endpapers. Pages bright with some tanning and foxing, particularly to textblock edges and endpapers. Binding remains firm. Previous owner's name and annotations to front pastedown. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering is slightly dulled.
