In 4. Dim. 28,5x22 cm. Pp. LVI+376. Rara prima edizione del 1752 di questa importante opera del sacerdote Daniele Concina (1686-1756). Concina era noto principalmente per il suo inflessibile rigore e per le sue orazioni energiche e spesso violente. Il suo intento era quello di un ritorno alla Chiesa delle origini. Questa opera formata da tre dissertazioni è una critica aperta alle rappresentazioni teatrali a causa della loro presunta influenza corruttrice dei costumi. Al verso dell'occhietto il testo di una lettera circolare di Papa Benedetto XIV datata 1 Gennaio 1748 agli arcivescovi e vescovi in latino ed in volgare nella quale egli attesta la tolleranza anche se di mala voglia per il divertimento carnevalesco. Tra gli argomenti trattati: storia degli spettacoli, la dottrina luterana, il pensiero di Paolo Segneri in merito, Pignatellli, Bellarmino, le donne in scena, la voluttà del teatro, la musica teatrale ecc... In buone condizioni. Copertina in cartonato coevo con titolo manoscritto al dorso in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con rare fioriture e bruniture. Errore di legatura: pagina 313 legata tra le pagine 315 e 317. In barbe. Scarce first edition of 1752 of this important work by the priest Daniele Concina (1686-1756). Concina was mainly famous for his severe carachter and his energic and violent orations.<BR>His intention was a return to the Church of the origins. This work is made up of three dissertations and it is an open critic to theatral representations due to their corructive influence on costumes In the title page the text of a circular letter of the Pope Benedetto XIV dated 1 of January 1748 to bishops in latin and italian language in which he states the tollerance for the carnival funny.
