New York: Harper and Brothers, 1952. First Edition. First Edition. Basis for the notable 1953 film noir "The Glass Web" directed by Jack Arnold and starring Edward G. Robinson, John Forsythe and Kathleen Hughes. A claustrophobic tale of a happily married television writer who has becomes entangled in an affair with a femme fatale at his place of work.
Near Fine in a Very Good or better dust jacket. Contemporary owner name (dated 1954) on the front flyleaf. Harper seal at page 163 is broken as almost always found, but both leaves of the seal (at page 163 and the rear endpaper) are complete and intact. Jacket has some of usual toning to the spine panel, a slender dampstain (in the shape of a drip), with some minute wear at the corners and the crown.
