"The first full-scale narrative history of the Boxer Rebellion told from the Chinese point of view, as well as that of the West, (this) is a graphic re-creation of those few explosive months in 1900 when hundreds of Christian missionaries were killed, thousands of Chinese Christians were slaughtered, and the Foreign Settlement of Tientsin and the diplomatic community of Peking were besieged." Very light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, light browning to the edges of the text block. Dust jacket has very light browning at the edges and flp-folds, light to moderate edge wear/wrinkling, several tiny/small closed tears - mainly at top/bottom of spine, corner crease on the rear flap, light rubbing.. Not Signed. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good.
