Signed by the author on front free endpaper, stated "For the Chazans - / Doris Grumbach / October, 1962." Doris Grumbach (b. 1918) is an American writer. Much of her writing focuses on feminism and LGBTQ+ characters. The Spoil of the Flowers is her first novel.
