Some minor bubbling of cloth on front boards. Light shelfwear, heavier at base of spine. Slight looseness of front hinge in lower part. Pages generally clean, toned. Baillie-Grohman was a famous sportsman and Alpine enthusiast, and this work is a memoir of his adventures mostly in the Austrian Alps, which offered the best Alpine hunting/shooting at the time. Baillie-Grohman writes with a real flair, conveying the adventure, fun and tension of the hunt, and he laces his writing with erudition and interesting digressions.
