Raised bands on spine, with six segments. Gilt upper page edges. Gilt details including beautifully stamped game animals, as well as. title and author detail. Binding is sound and interior pages are bright and readable. "Reminisces of the chase, wild flowering, and deer-stalking, with a chapter, fishing anecdotes, which narrates among other tales, the author's capture of a 22lb trout from Lake Constance and another chapter on Chub and Welper (welsh catfish) in Switzerland." Dedicated to the Modern British Sportsman to those who love, as I have loved in times long past and gone, sports of various kinds.
