Winston-Salem, NC: John F. Blair, Publisher, 1958. Hardcover. xii, 128p., inscribed & signed "To my dear friend Mike Gold, who can gab, but has never loitered in his noble life, Olive Tilford Dargan," reproduction of a 1912 photo of Dargan tipped in with identification & and a warm inscription to Gold on the verso of the photo (which has some yellowing from old tape), two notes from Mike Gold's library about Dargan stapled to front blank endpaper, pen notes in Dargan's hand on the list of her books noting the publishers, review of Dargan's book laid in, book is a bit musty else good condition in like dust jacket. Dargan, under her pen name Fielding Burke, wrote two radical novels on the Gastonia, North Carolina textile strike of 1929, a strike in which the Communist Party was deeply involved. *Rideout author.
