March came in like a lamb, bringing a temporary lull in the affairs of the Los Angeles Police Dept. But Lt. Luis Mendoza and his boys in mufti knew that many a lion crouched in the streets ready to strike, and since Robbery had been merged with Homicide, violence would erupt twofold. And so on a Monday morning it did. First there was the theft of expensive tropical fish (Regal Angels), followed by the hit-and-run killing of a ten-year-old boy, the fatal knifing of a Water and Power Company employee, and a highly irregular bank holdup. As if these weren't enough for starters, Missing Persons insisted that the disappearance of an eighty-six-year old woman had to be murder and Robbery-Homicide had better do something about it.
