No dustwrapper, minor bumping to spine ends and corners of black cloth-covered boards, a little bit of old water-staining to outer edge of front board, original owner's gift message dated Christmas 1897 on f/ep, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published on May 5th 1897, this is the second edition from the day after (though the title page has 1898). The story was left unfinished at Stevenson's death, and the final six chapters were written by Arthur Quiller Couch. 312pp plus 16pp adverts. . Second Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
