About This Item

G. P. Putnam's Sons. Near Fine in Good+ dust jacket. 1917. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as indicated by the same date on the title page and copyright page with no other printings or dates stated, this vintage book is in great shape with two minor flaws only: the bright gold gilt top edge has a small amount of loss and the blank end-papers are tanned, the binding is tight and square, the contents are fine, clean inside and out, the scarce jacket has some edge-wear on the front panel and spine (with one small tape repair at the top front corner) and the rear panel is scuffed, it remains presentable and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, 153 pages, "In St. Nicholas the reader will come in contact with a personality of unique amiability, whose influence has permeated popular customs for many centuries and has contributed much of sweetness to human life" .
