Hardback, bound in green cloth with gilt titling to spine and upper board. 22.5 × 14.5cm, 503pp. This copy was previously owned by barrister Montague Berryman of 12 King's Bench Walk, who has signed the ffep. Described to the title page as 'An alphabetical list of plays and other stage pieces of which any record can be found since the commencement of the English stage, together with descriptions, author's names, dates and places of production, and other useful information, comprising in all nearly 50,000 plays, and extending over a period of upwards of 500 years'. Also with a few attractive contemporary adverts to the start of the book. Condition: A good copy, some rubbing to the corners, joints and spine ends but the contents are in good, clean condition.
