About This Item
London: Heinemann, 1965. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with toning to top edge. Feels lightly read. Bumped to spine ends. A few previous booksellers pencil prices to FEP, Very good condition. Jacket has a 8mm tear to top edge of front panel, and a 3mm closed tear to rear panel. Minor rubbing to corners and joints. However the colours are very bold (unusual for this title). Overall a better than very good copy. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a quality addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid example of this highly regarded biography of the most celebrated couple of the theatre, who were active on the boards and on film for over 60 years. Also contains 22 photographs in two sections. This copy looks great on the shelf and in the hand in the fitted archival cover.
