About This Item

Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston, 1944. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 333pp. Red cloth lettered and ruled in black at the spine and upper board. With decorated endpapers, a two-colour title page decoration and nineteen line drawings. Cloth just fractionally marked in one or two places, and with a hint of dust soiling to the top edge. A short light crease to the tip of the first four or five leaves. Printed on slightly substandard wartime economy paperstock, yet still a very good copy in somewhat distressed dust wrapper, non-price-clipped but with some considerable tearing and creasing, and with some loss to the spine ends and corner tips. Potter 23..
