Third edition, with amendments. Small octavo, pp xiv, 376, illustrated with 18 engraved plates, very clean and crisp internally, plain endpapers browned, pre-title page detached. Contemporary full polished calf, somewhat marked and worn, the spine gilt decorated with raised bands, gilt stamped decoration. A very attractive copy with a prestigious provenance:

Odier (see Wiki) was a prominent Doctor of Medecine and Professor at the University of Geneva, translator of the works of Jenner and steady promoter of smallpox vaccination. He was given this book by another prominent medical doctor: J.P.Maunoir
