Octavo. xvi + 348 pp, stated First Printing, Preface, Five sections, the first three chronological biography, the fourth on Crane's Art, the fifth an attempt to size up the "color of his soul'. A bibliographical note, a general index, index of works cited. Binding tight, pages clean and unmarked, covers crisp, text black with slight age-toned paper but fresh. 6" x 8.7" brown cloth boards with gilt cover letters and spine design and letters, in unclipped DJ. DJ in protector, with light wear to the extremities. .
